JPG, PNG, WEBP, HEIC, AVIF, BMP, GIF, TIFF, ICO
Convert images to JPG, PNG, WEBP, BMP, ICO or TIFF with our free online tool, including the HEIC photos an iPhone takes and AVIF images from the web. Resize images, adjust quality, and download instantly. Processed securely on our server — files are never stored.
JPG (JPEG) — The most common image format for photos. Lossy compression keeps file sizes small while maintaining good quality.
PNG — Lossless format with transparency support. Ideal for graphics, logos, screenshots, and images that need sharp edges.
WEBP — Modern format by Google offering superior compression. Great for web use but not supported everywhere.
HEIC / HEIF — The format iPhones save photos in. Many Windows PCs, older software and most upload forms refuse it. The converter reads it, turns sideways shots upright and keeps the photo's wide-colour profile. It converts from HEIC, not to it.
AVIF — A compact web format based on the AV1 video codec. Current browsers show it, but many editors and upload forms still do not accept it. It converts from AVIF, not to it.
BMP — Uncompressed bitmap format. Large files but no quality loss. Compatible with all Windows applications.
ICO — Icon format for favicons and Windows icons. Automatically constrained to 256x256 pixels maximum.
TIFF — High-quality format used in professional photography and printing. Supports lossless compression.
Drop the .heic or .heif photo on the box above. JPG is selected for you (pick PNG instead for a lossless copy), then click Convert. The JPG comes back the right way up and with the photo's colour profile, but without the location and camera details the iPhone stored in the original. If the file holds several pictures, such as a burst, you get the main one. Our guide on how to open a HEIC file explains the format.
Upload your WEBP image, select JPG as the output format, adjust quality if desired (default is 85), and click Convert. The JPG file will download automatically.
Yes. Your images are sent to our server for processing but are never stored. They are processed in memory and immediately discarded after the converted file is returned to your browser.
Images up to 50 MB are supported. Most images are well under this limit.
Yes. Enter a width and/or height in the resize fields. With "maintain aspect ratio" checked, the image will scale proportionally. Leave the fields empty to keep the original size.
The quality slider (1-100) controls compression for JPG and WEBP formats. Higher values mean better quality but larger file sizes. For other formats, the slider is not shown as they use lossless compression.
